This will be a rather personal post with my goals for the year. 2017 was pretty amazing for me – I started to work in my new workplace, managed to lose some weight and made some really good friends. I always try to push myself to the fullest and get the most out of every second.
It all starts with a plan
New year resolutions are hard. They are supposed to be. If you’re making yours (which you probably should be or have done already) aim to make it quite optimistic and almost unrealistic. That’s the key to progress – the bigger the goals the better. I’ll get straight to my list:
1. Read 1 book every month
Something I was lacking the last couple of years. Reading books which enhance your career and work are crucial for everyone’s personal development. I’ve chosen the first few ones. I’ve started with Gary Vee’s “Jab, jab, jab, right hook”. If you have a good recommendation for a book for web development/marketing/entrepreneurship – get in touch with me!
2. Run 3km every day
Getting active is really important when you have a 9 to 5 in an office + more work on the laptop. It gets you going and helps you control your stress levels.
3. Improve code quality at work
This goal really depends on deadlines rather than my code skills(of course I’ll strive to improve and I write the cleanest and most maintainable pieces of code).
4. Financial growth
I’m planning a 1000% growth in my personal finance. That will be made happen through a few extra projects and it’s probably one of the toughest ones on the list.
5. Grow my social following + 2 blog posts a month
I have a big ambition to motivate people to start coding, improve their skills and learn something new. I want to connect with you people and help with whatever I can! 🙂
Well, that’s all folks. It’s time to execute. I wish you a very successful 2018!
